Petfinder offers a great resource to help find local rescues. You can search by location or by rescue/shelter name and they will provide a list of rescues/shelters and their contact information. Keep in mind not every rescue on this list will accept cats.
The spay and neuter clinic we use for TNR is called All About Animals (AAA). They have two locations, Flint, MI and Warren, MI. They offer classes to teach you how to do TNR on your own. They also loan out live traps to use and offer low-cost spaying and neutering.
The Humane Society of St. Clair County (S.N.A.P.) has a low-cost spay and neuter clinic. You will need to call to schedule an appointment and will most likely have to go on a wait list. They do also loan out live traps to use.
There is a group on Facebook dedicated to networking urgent situations where people need help with cats. You can send them a message and let them know what is going on and they will create and share a post for you. They have a very large following and reach.
This video demonstrates how to humanely trap feral cats for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). The video covers preparing traps, setting them, and safely transporting the cats to a veterinarian for neutering. The video also provides tips on how to identify cats that have already been through the TNR program and how to care for the cats overnight before their appointment. The creator of this video has many helpful videos on YouTube about feral cats and also bottle feeding kittens.
